Description: ADOPTION PENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Albert is one happy, happy dog! This bright beautiful boy is waiting to go home with someone who loves exercise, understands discipline and enjoys happy face-licking affection! Albert is cute as a bunny, with his soft muzzle and brindled markings and "goggles", and best of all, he is a great dog! He has lots of enthusiasm and simply adores people and company. A loving volunteer has been taking him home for short getaways, where he crates well and does fine with dogs after a monitored doggie introduction (probably best in a no-cat home). He is always eager to play, with some pent-up energy, some jumpiness and soft mouthiness. All of those correct easily, but probably won't dissipate completely until he is in a home with someone working consistently on this and appropriate outlet routines for his energy. As a consistent attendee of the" Bad Rap" dog training classes for the past 3 months, Albert, with his smarts, has become a star of the class - he knows his basics very well, having mastered "Sit" "Stay" "Down" and "Leave It". We think Albert is a mix of American Bulldog and German Shorthaired Pointer, and as such, he is very bright and loves to use his nose to find things. He is also very agile and would probably do great with lots of outdoor challenges such as agility courses. He will be a sweetheart for dog-savvy parents who know some gentle but consistent training basics and can help him adjust to life in a real home after months in a shelter kennel. Taking him home has the added bonus that you can continue to take Albert to Bad Rap classes for FREE, if you are interested and want to learn those training basics. Come meet Albert and give him that chance.Watch Albert in action.
